‘Iwalani’s Tree includes a brief description of the ironwood tree, legends about the ironwood, legends about Ka‘ena Point, as well as a description of Hawaiian poetry and language. Study guides with activities related to science, geography, and poetry are available from the author.

Constance Hale is available for school, library, and party visits in California and Hawai‘i. She is able to do a reading of the book, with a discussion. She is also able to use the book as a teaching tool for storytelling or for writing poetry. Please email connie@sinandsyntax.com.
